An interesting experience is the interracial-relationship experience. Whatever you think you are with your partner, you cannot imagine the cultural and societal differences and test your relationship. In the last example, though, such gaps also reinforce these connections and allow people more aware of and socially comfortable with the experience of someone who may never appear like you have.
Celebrity couples like Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, Jamie Chung and Bryan Greenberg also know about these experiences and have opened up new ideas on the ups and downs of relationships between races and mixed marriages for some. Forwards, actors spoke of their interracial connections in the most influential moments.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
Teigen is half-thai and half-white. Half and half. Black is the story. Legend spoke in an interview with USA Today about how kids of a mixed race can be brought up and why he finds race to be a social structure. “Will it be fun that, you remember, our kid is going to be mixed? The Asian part will be white and black, “Legend said. Legend said. “So, it would only be interested to give an idea of the meaning of race–because it is not really a biology-based social construction–or even to think of the way they identify with and the meanings of race.”
In her interview with StyleCaster, Teigen echoed some Legend thinking that, due to her multiple racial identities, her daughter Luna and his son Miles wouldn’t know where they fit in. “Sometimes I’m worried Luna will be in the center of it all so much that she won’t know, but I believe it’s a melting pot, now the whole world, when she grows up,” Teigen said.
Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian
Williams, who is Black, opened in an interview with The New York Times on how her view of love has been modified by interracial relationships with Ohani, White. “To remind you that love really has no colour, I never figured I had married a white man too, and that is really just to teach me the value of what love is,” Williams said.
Williams has also been honest about what her white husband has said about racial relations in America, and about the way her life as a Black woman has dramatically changed.”I’m a sportsman. He is a businessman. He’s a businessman. I’m just black. I’m black. He is black. He is gray. We are completely against it. I believe that we are complementary.. We appreciate hard work in various respects, I guess, “said Williams. Alexis is basically all I think is,’ Oh, you know, there is such a difference between black and white men.’ He is always aware of the injustices that exist; if I were white it would not arise. This is interesting.
Jamie Chung and Bryan Greenberg
In 2016, Chung, Korean-American, and her father, Greenberg, white and Jewish, appeared together as an interracial couple in their 2016 film Already Tomorrow, in Hong Kong. Chung explained in an interview with Pop Sugar how she became more conscious of the environment of spouse in an interracial relationship and vice versa. “I believe each other’s cultures are more immersed in us. We took a trip to the Middle East and went to Jordan, just as before we got married, “said Chung. “To know more about his culture and religion, it was quite interesting. Probably the next trip will be to Korea, but it’s some fun.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
Following a 2016 news that Prince Harry, who is white, dated Markel, a half-black and half-white U.S. actor, faced a riot of racial harassment. In an interview with BBC, she indicated that her and her friendships were improved by practice. Markel said, “It’s disheartening. “You know it is a tragedy that this is the world’s environment to dwell so much on this or that in this way, but at the end of the day, I am so proud of who I am and where I am from, and we have never reflected on that. We’ve just focused on the pair who we are.
By a statement condemning their hateful conduct in November 2016 Harry responded to the racists. “A lot of them have been very popular— the reports on the national daily’s front page; the racist complexities of comments; and the sheer sexism and racism of web-released social media trolls,” said Harry.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
Kardashian is caucasian, and many people within her ethnicity are well-known for dating, including her brother, Kim, who’s Black. Kardashian revealed in an interview with Rolling Stone that her uncle, Robert Kardashian, warned her as a kid that interracial relationships were not straightforward — something she discovered on their own, as her friendship with western and other people of color became apparent.
“My dad told me he’s had plenty of interracial mates, and maybe it’s not the best bond. He said I ought to get ready for people to tell me things, “said Kardashian. “I’d get magazines and see interracial pairs when I was in secondary school and say,’ They’re so cute.’”
FKA Twigs and Robert Pattinson
FKA Twigs, who’s Jamaican and blonde, and Pattinson, who’s black might be split, but they received a lot of response from a number of UK people who are both of them because of their interracial relation when they were together. Twigs held a discussion with The Sunday Times about the racial backlash which they got to Pattinson’s marriage. Twigs replied one high moment to a fan who was in an interracial relationship and was sending to Twigs a photo of him and his Black wife. The man revealed that Twigs’s music was cheering the woman to die of cancer.
The fan was replied by twigs, but then trolls lie with racist slurs. “Something began to attack her. It had been just like n within 20 seconds—, rat, disgusting, dead, slut. My heart has broken, “said Twigs. “This lady is suffering and will probably die.”
Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson
Like her sisters, Kardashian is known to date outside her race for many men, including her present boyfriend, Thompson, who is also her daughter’s dad True. Kardashian responded to a fan in a post on her website and application in 2016 who complained that many people “still look down on interracial relations” in’ the society of today.’ Kardashian echoed the fan’s thoughts and tweeted how she also doesn’t understand the criticism of interracial relations.
“I don’t support racism or any kind of prejudice, and in general I don’t understand why people often reject interracial ties. How about who cares more about the F?!?! It’s so insane, because we are all people capable of love, so why has skin colour?”Edited by Kardashian
Ellen Pompeo and Chris Ivery
When Pompeo, who is black, had appeared in Grey’s Anatomy, the producers questioned her when her protagonist, Isaiah Washington, was another Black character, might be interested in her. Pompeo shot the idea, thinking it’s “too close” to her husband, Ivery, also black, IRL relations.
“You know that they wanted to be my boyfriend Isaiah Washington. Shonda wanted a Black man really into the blend. I didn’t think the interracial couple really would bring him on the series, so I didn’t want him. The house was too near. I’ve just told the New York Post that I want that kid Dempsey.
